Angela Atkin is a General Practitioner in Lalor and in the city, mother of Shelly who attends Villa’s Gateway program in Kew. Dr Atkin has been involved with Villa Maria for over 25 years and has been Chairman of the Board of Directors for four years. Angela is on the Aged Care Panel for the Northern

Division of General Practice and sits on the Board of Catholic Health Australia.

Br Brian Brandon
Br Brian Brandon

B.J. Brandon

Brother Brian Brandon is a member of the Christian Brothers and a registered secondary school teacher. Brother Brandon was a teacher and School Principal between 1959 and 1984 and is a former President of the Victorian Catholic Schools Association. He was a member of the Provincial Council of Christian Brothers from 1984 to 1996 and was Province Bursar and Director of the Province Finance Office and Province Legal Affairs Manager from 1985 to 2001. He continues as Province Property Development Co-ordinator and Province Legal Affairs Co-ordinator. He is the Company Secretary of Christian Brothers Vic Property Ltd and also the Province Education Commission’s representative on various school boards and a member of the Province Business and Finance Commission, Executive and Chair of its Investment Committee. Brother Brandon was appointed to the Board of Villa Maria in August 1994 and is currently a Vice President and Chair of the Finance Committee.

Lyn Elford
Lyn Elford

L. Elford

Formerly a journalist, Lyn is Marketing and Community Relations Manager at GTV 9. She is a director of the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Fund, as well as on its Grants and Marketing Committees, and is a Committee member of the Sir Eric Pearce Deafblindness Fund for the Deaf-Blind Association. She joined the Board of Villa Maria in 2003 and is currently on its Marketing and Centenary Planning Committees.

Jenny McAllister
Jenny McAllister

J. McAllister

Villa Maria’s Early Intervention Program, Respite Services, St Paul’s Kindergarten and College all served to enhance the development of Jenny’s eldest son, David, throughout his childhood years. Jenny was President of the Parents’ Association of St Paul’s for many years and represented parents on the school’s Auxiliary for over 10 years. Also currently serving time on the Committee of Management of the Association for Children with a Disability, Jenny believes that information is the key to obtain the most out of ever-increasingly complex and diversified systems of service delivery. Jenny is a Vice President of the Board.

Ian McEachern
Ian McEachern

I. McEachern

Ian McEachern has been a lawyer since 1971. He has degrees in Commerce and Law from Melbourne University and has practised as a barrister, solicitor and mediator in the area of commercial and civil law. He is a past Board member of Corpus Christi Greenvale, which is conducted by the Jesuits. He was appointed to the Board in 1998, and is a member of the Building Committee.

P. Rizzo

Paul Rizzo is a director on several boards, following senior executive roles in banking, telecommunications and higher education as well as appointments in the health, entertainment and charitable sector. Paul is currently a director of National Australian Bank Ltd., Bluescope Steel

Ltd., and Mallesons Stephen Jaques, and Chairman of the Foundation for Very Special Kids. He was previously a director at Foxtel Ltd., IBM GSA Pty. Ltd. And Rothschilds Ltd.

Peter Walsh
Peter Walsh

P. Walsh

Peter Walsh has had a long association with Villa Maria, being a foundation student of St. Paul’s when it opened in 1957. For 11 years he was involved with the Catholic Church’s work in the resettlement of migrants and refugees through its Catholic Immigration Office. Since 1987 he has been a Commonwealth public servant, being involved with housing industry and community service portfolios.

He is now retired and is enjoying the time with his family and other interests. Mr. Walsh was appointed to the Board in 1998 and is a member of the Care Giving and Centenary Planning Committees of the Board.
