What are Adult Day Programs?
Adult Day Programs cater for older people who have special needs. The programs offer opportunities to participate in specially planned support programs that foster personal growth and independence while socialising with others in similar circumstances. These programs offer carers a break with respite options allowing them to rest, visit family and friends or just have uninterrupted time.
What Adult Day Programs are there?
Villa Maria offers three different Adult Day Programs for older people:
- Carinya Dementia Services - provides a service that caters for the special needs of people who are diagnosed with dementia, memory loss and confusion.
- White Road Day Centre - cares for the social needs of frail aged residing in the Knox community.
- Avebury House - supports working carers by providing planned and Out and About activities for the person they care for who is frail aged and/or has dementia.
