Community Rehabilitation Centre offer rehabilitative group programs
The Wantirna Community Rehabilitation Centre provides Allied Health Services and rehabilitative group programs for older people and people with a disability living in Knox and surrounding areas.
What services does the Wantirna Community Rehabilitation Centre provide?
Allied Health Services Provided include:
- Physiotherapy;
- Occupational Therapy;
- Podiatry;
- Speech Pathology;
- Dietetics;
- Rehabilitation Nursing; and
- Specialist Medical Rehabilitation Consultation.
Rehabilitative Group Programs provided include:
- Neck;
- Shoulder;
- Lower Limb;
- Movement;
- Back;
- Cognitive;
- Speech;
- Falls and balance;
- Rehabilitation exercises; and
- Better Health Self Management.
How do I get access to the Wantirna Community Rehabilitation Centre?
A Doctor's referral is required. For further information, contact the Client Liaison Officer on (03) 9800 7255 between the hours of 8.30am to 4.30pm, or email intake.wcrc@villamaria.com.au.
How do I get to the Wantirna Community Rehabilitation Centre?
The Wantirna Communitiy Rehabilitation Centre is located at 355 Stud Road, Wantirna South. Parking is available on site. We have limited capacity to provide transport in the local area. Contact the Client Liaison Officer (03) 9800 7255 to enquire. We are also located close to public transport or the Department of Veteran Affairs may provide some transport.
How much does the Wantirna Community Rehabilitation Centre cost?
Fees charged are based upon whether clients attend individual and/or group therapy and start from $10.00.
What if I am a Veteran?
The Department of Veteran Affairs does NOT pay for services provided at the centre and a fee still applies.
How is the Wantirna Community Rehabilitation Centre funded?
The fees charged at the Wantirna Community Rehabilitation Centre provide only a small amount of funding for the program. Other funds come from the Commonwealth Day Therapy Centres Program and from donations from the community.
