What is Low Level Hostel Care?
Residential Care provides accommodation and support for people who can no longer live safely at home.
In low level (hostel) care you can live independently, but get help with meals and laundry, and personal care like dressing and bathing.
Who is Low Level Hostel Care for?
Admission is available to all persons with a current Aged Care Assessment Service, Low level residential assessment nominated on the form for hostel needs. Admissions are offered to concessional and non-concessional persons.
Admission to Villa Marias facilities are taken from our priority waiting lists as per Villa Maria Policies and Procedures. Residential Agreements follow guidelines set down in legislation. Clients who can live independently and require assistance with meals, laundry cleaning and personal care require low care.
Where can I access Low Level Hostel Care?
Villa Maria Hostel in Wantirna has 50 low care beds and is semi-secure. It is currently only accepting respite bookings.
A Centre Manager manages the facilities and a Unit Manager coordinates the clinical care. There are registered nurses on duty 24 hours every day in the co-located high care facility.
Residents from all nationalities and denominations are welcome. We have regular church services at each facility and pastoral care support is available by referral.
