What is Shared Supported Accommodation?
Villa Maria has twelve Shared Supported Accommodation Services across Metropolitan Melbourne.
Each service provides specialised, shared accommodation to adults with an intellectual, sensory, physical or neurological disability or Acquired Brain Injury.
All of our houses are purpose built, offer single bedrooms and are modified for wheelchair access. Experienced and qualified staff provide 24 hour direct care with sleepover or active night support.
Flexible, personalised care and support is provided based on an individual’s needs and in conjunction with their Person Centered Plan (PCP). The plans are tailored for each individual’s needs and wishes and contain realistic objectives aimed at increasing independence and achieving lifestyle goals. These goals are based on the individual’s skills and prepared in conjunction with each person and their family or advocate.
Local community integration is encouraged as part of every day life, and individuals are supported to develop and maintain family connections and social relationships.
