Villa Maria would like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to the individuals, businesses and organisations who donated their time, resources, funds and goods to our 2011 Christmas Hamper appeal.
Christmas can be a difficult time for people who are struggling financially and may be lonely or isolated.

Our 300 festive hampers, which included mince pies, lollies, hams and soft drinks, have truly helped to lift the spirits of older people living in aged care residences or alone in the community, children and adults with a disability, their families and carers.

A group of little elves (see photo) also spent hours hand-writing personal messages on Christmas cards to hamper recipients.
Those who delivered the hampers across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria just in time for Christmas reported they had brought a smile to many faces and were truly appreciated by recipients.
