Heidelberg Heights – overnight respite for adults

Heidelberg Heights is a vibrant house providing overnight respite for individuals aged 35 and over. We aim to provide a safe and enjoyable environment, supporting an individual's needs and those of their families and carers, and providing an opportunity for interesting and involving respite activities.

We are passionate about assisting individuals to develop their dreams and aspirations and our staff are enthusiastic and creative about ensuring each individual respite experience is a positive one.

The house provides up-to-date equipment and some of the many exciting respite experiences individuals can explore at the house include:

• Sensory garden and a covered BBQ area
• A range of art and craft materials
• Books, videos, CD/DVD and televisions
• A variety of in-house and community-based respite activities
   

Eligibility

• To be eligible to participate in Overnight Respite, the individual must:
• Reside in the North/West Metropolitan Region of Melbourne
•  Live at home with family or carers
• Be eligible for service under the Disability Act 2006
• Be medically stable
• Be aged 35 and over
   

Referrals

Referrals can be made by anyone including families, carers, and Case Managers by contacting the Families and Referrals Co-ordinator on

Cost

Fees are payable for respite services and vary depending on the service used. Families experiencing financial hardship may request fee assistance.
