The curriculum offered at St Paul's is designed to develop foundational skills in children with disabilities, as well as those formal academic skills that may be appropriate for each child. We believe all children have the right to an educational program of the highest standard and we do this in line with the Victorian Essential Learning Standards – the curriculum framework for all Victorian schools. By adapting this framework for children wit disabilities, we ensure that what we provide is relevant, functional and meets the needs of each member of our school community.

Primary Programs include:

Bridging

St Paul's College offers a highly successful Bridging Program for prep-aged children with disabilities, in preparation for their participation in mainstream schools.

Rideability Victoria

Rideability Victoria provides our students with the opportunity to ride, groom, feed and saddle horses. This is a very popular program and one which assists our students in many areas such as; balance, strengthening muscles, coordination, communication, social skills.

Collingwood Children's Farm

Our Primary students enjoy their involvement at Collingwood Children's Farm where they carry out set tasks of feeding the animals and cleaning enclosures. Whilst they learn to care for the animals they also develop a sense of responsibility and have the opportunity to contribute to their community.

Secondary Programs include:

Bowling

The weekly bowling sport program focuses on community integration and social inclusion. This program also offers reverse integration with a local main stream school and focuses on promoting friendship, peer support and opportunities to explore their abilities.

Sailability

The sailability program offered to our students focuses on ‘accessible sailing'. The key objective is to provide inclusion, increase self-confidence and gain pride through achievement.

Electives

St Paul's secondary students can elect to take a variety of subjects outside of the normal curriculum. Some of the subjects offered are woodwork, Food Technology, yoga, textiles, mosaics, dance and aerobics. The subjects offered are engaging and promote active participation in children with diabilities.

Transition

St Paul's offers a comprehensive transition program for students in their last years of schooling including work skills development, work experience and forums for families to assist with their young adult's transition to adult life.
