Community Social Work

Social Work services are offered free to all clients of Villa Maria, their families and carers. Our community social work service provides short-term individual casework, counselling, advocacy and group work.
 

What does Villa Maria’s Community Social Work Services provide?

A community social worker may help a client with the following:

• Grief and loss
• Relationships
• Lifestyle changes and transitions
• Changes in health
• Anxiety and stress
• Communication
• Social isolation
• Accommodation
• Financial and legal matters

These issues can be discussed in a confidential, supportive environment with a qualified community social work staff member who has expertise in the areas of aged care and disability. Social Work Services at Villa Maria adheres to the Code of Ethics set by the Australian Association of Social Workers.
